Music scene

Spring Concerts. The organisers of Deal Festival of Music and the Arts have lined up three concerts at Deal Town Hall for April and early May. On Friday, 4 April, string trio Cinque Port Ensemble will play works by Boccherini, Martinu and Mozart. On Friday, 25 April, violinist Maria Oldak and pianist James Baillieu are in concert playing works by Schubert, de Fella and Brahms. And on Friday, 9 May two Japanese pianists Miho Kawashima and Tomoka Shigeno will play works by Schubert, Liszt, Prokofiev and Bizet. Tickets are available £10 from Sound House, High Street, Deal.
